Max Branning (Jake Wood) is set to make an explosive exit in EastEnders, but will his current feud with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) ultimately lead to his departure?
Max put his trust in Ian when he sold him his share of Walford East in order to ensure Rainie (Tanya Franks) was unable to get her hands on the business during the divorce.
Ian, however, went behind his business partner’s back and bought Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) The Queen Vic, meaning that he no longer has Max’s money.
Max was fuming when he found out some degree of the truth earlier this week, and proceeded to corner Ian in the restaurant he used to co-own, before issuing a dark threat.
Will he follow through if Ian doesn’t pay up?
It was revealed earlier this week that actor Jake Wood will be departing the soap after 15 years, and his exit will be an explosive one.
What’s more, Adam Woodyatt — aka Ian — is due to take a 10-week break, so one can’t help but wonder if the two’s exits will be interlinked?
Will Max perhaps attempt to get revenge on Ian, and thus be sent to prison?
It’s certainly a possibility, as we’ve all seen in the past what Max is cable of when pushed too far.
Could he perhaps attempt to kill Ian (again)?
And if so, will he perhaps be put behind bars?
EastEnders continues Monday 21 September at 8:05pm on BBC One.
