Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) is unwilling to accept in EastEnders that Chantelle Atkins’ (Jessica Plummer) death was simply a tragic accident, and therefore he reveals his theory to Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) tonight (September 24).
Kheerat was devastated to discover that Chantelle has died, given that he was planning on running away with her less than 24 hours earlier.
In Monday’s episode (September 21), he had something of a showdown with Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) in the middle of the Square — something which Mitch picked up on.
What’s more, he informed mum Suki (Balvinder Sopal) that he believes there’s more to Chantelle’s death than meets the eye — and even speculated that Gray was involved somehow.
After meeting with Mitch in Tuesday’s episode (September 22), Kheerat meets with him once more tonight.
He tells Mitch about how he spoke to Chantelle during lockdown, and that she was unhappy with Gray.
He theorises that perhaps Gray found out, and that they’d had a row — resulting in Chantelle getting fatally injured.
He asks Mitch if such a thing could be possible, but Mitch runs away, and later informs Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) about what Kheerat believes.
The question is: what will Karen have to say?
