Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) was horrified when her escape plan in EastEnders fell through, but tonight (September 15), she’s shaken to the core as Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) turns up amid the holiday.
Chantelle believed that her escape was imminent in Monday’s episode (September 14), as she had put everything in order and contacted the women’s refuge to let them know she was on the way.
However, Gray — having come to suspect that Chantelle’s exit was a more permanent one — meddled and manipulated once more, thus ensuring that Mia and Mackenzie remained at home.
Chantelle was broken, having realised that her escape plan had fallen through, and in tonight’s episode (September 15), she retreats to a local cafe in Southend.
Mitch Baker (Roger Griifths) soon realises that something isn’t quite right with his daughter, and thus he questions her.
Chantelle refrains from opening up, and reveals that she’s simply missing Mia and Mackenzie.
Desperate to help his daughter, Mitch returns to Walford to retrieve the kids — hoping that this will put a smile on her face.
Chantelle is hopeful that her plan is back on, but upon the kids’ arrival, she makes a shock discovery.
Gray has come along too.
EastEnders continues Tuesday September 15 at 7:35pm on BBC One.
