Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) was murdered by Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) in EastEnders, and tonight (September 21), the abuser is questioned by the police.
Friday’s episode (September 18) of the BBC One soap was an extremely powerful one, as Chantelle revealed to Gray that she was leaving him.
The abusive man told her that she wasn’t going anywhere, before giving her a push. Chantelle landed on the dishwasher, and she was wounded by a sharp knife.
She pleaded with Gray to get help, and at first it appeared as if he was going to do so, but he exited the house and went for a walk — giving himself an alibi — before returning home.
Chantelle died in incredibly emotional scenes, and Gray proceeded to cover his tracks, by making the whole thing look like an accident.
In tonight’s episode, he finds himself being quizzed by the police in regards to Chantelle’s death.
Will the police discover what that Gray was responsible?
Meanwhile, Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) return home from Southend, and are left devastated by the tragic news.
Later, Mitch discovers that something is not quite right between Gray and Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol).
Will he work out what’s happened?
EastEnders continues Monday September 21 at 8:05pm on BBC One.
