Billie Lourd has announced the birth of her first child – and nobody even knew she was pregnant.
The Booksmart actress has been quiet on Instagram since May, and hasn’t posted a picture of herself since April.
And now we know why, as the 28-year-old has confirmed she has given birth to a baby.
Billie stunned fans and friends when she posted a picture of her baby boy’s tiny feet sticking out of the bottom of a blue and white blanket, and wrote: ‘Introducing: 💙👑💙Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell💙👑💙.’
And if you felt bad about not knowing that Billie was pregnant, even some of her famous friends were oblivious.
Her Scream Queens co-star Jamie Lee Curtis commented: ‘WAIT WHAT?’, with American Horror Story star Cody Fern writing: ‘The sneak attack.’
However, Lea Michele, who welcomed her first child last month, seemed to know about the secret bundle of joy in advance, commenting: ‘He’s finally here! So happy for you! Boy moms! 💙💙💙 @emmaroberts.’
Lily Collins, Matt Bomer, Billy Eichner, Matthew Morrison and Kaitlyn Dever were among her other famous friends and colleagues who left congratulatory messages on the post.
Billie and her fiance Austen Rydell have paid tribute to the actress’s late mum Carrie by also giving her the surname Fisher; Billie goes by the surname of her father Bryan Lourd.
Little Kingston has also been given the surname of his father, who proposed to Billie back in June.
Austen, 28, popped the question in June, and wrote on Instagram: ‘he said YES!! (Actually she said “Duhhh”) But I guess that’s even better than yes?!?’
The couple dated in the past but went on a break before reconnecting in 2017, following the deaths of Billie’s mother and grandmother Carrie and Debbie Reynolds.
Billie suffered a tragic double loss when Star Wars actress Carrie died aged 60 of sudden cardiac arrest on December 27 2016.
Just one day later, Carrie’s mother Debbie Reynolds died following a stroke.
Billie has followed in her mother and grandmother’s footsteps with a successful acting career, starring in shows including Scream Queens and American Horror Story.
She also appears in Star Wars as Liuetanant Kaydel Ko Connix, and played a young Leia Organa – the character made famous by her mum – in The Rise Of Skywalker.
