The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus has been branded the ringleader when it came to pulling pranks on the Rick Grimes star Andrew Lincoln.
Lew Temple, who played prison inmate Axel during the show’s third season, appeared on a panel for the series at the Scares That Care 2020 Virtual Convention.
And when discussing his time on the show, the 52-year-old gave a brief insight into what went down behind the scenes.
Joined by Jerry star Cooper Andrews, the actor revealed: ‘When I was on the show, all roads led to the sheriff. There weren’t other storylines per se, and it was that season that Andy was doing his King Lear
‘It was a lot of work, so we would mess with him quite a bit.’
Lew explained just some of the mischief they got up to, including ‘rolling into the prison’ wearing sombrero hats, and surprising Andrew in ex-president masks.
But while the team may have been in hysterics by their ongoing prank war – it seems the main man wasn’t always impressed.
‘We would pull some hijinks. Sometimes Andy would laugh, but a lot of times he wouldn’t,’ Lew laughed.
‘But we liked it. It was fun for us. Of course, none of us lasted on the show, by the way. Except for the ringleader, Norman Reedus.’
Fans are currently awaiting the season 10 finale, which was recently delayed over the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the episode now has a release date and will be with the fandom on October 4.
Explaining how season 11 has now been postponed, showrunner Angela Kang recently revealed at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con: ‘Obviously, Covid has disrupted a lot of stuff for every workplace, including ours.
‘We haven’t been able to restart production, but we’ll be getting back to work as soon as we safely can. We will not be airing season 11 episodes this year as we normally would.
‘But, we’re excited to announce an extended season 10, there will be six extra episodes to follow the finale in early 2021, if all goes well. We’re working on those now.’
The Walking Dead season 10 finale will air on AMC and NOW TV October 4.
