DI Malone (Mark Womack) could be left to pay the price in Emmerdale, as his attempts to intimidate Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) seemingly backfire.
After discovering that Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) had been having an affair with Malone, Dawn decided to take drastic action and therefore reported the bent copper to the police.
Malone was fuming upon discovering what she’d done and thus wasted little time in getting revenge.
As the latest episode (Friday, August 14) concluded, the sinister detective threatened to kill Lucas, and used this threat to lure Dawn into her home.
Tonight’s edition (Monday, August 17) will see Malone attempt to intimidate Dawn.
He wastes little time in demeaning her — informing her that her testimony against him hasn’t been taken seriously.
Dawn attempts to act cool but the dodgy detective is determined to make her suffer, and therefore produces a wrap of heroin and an accompanying syringe from his pocket.
Dawn is distraught as Malone’s intentions come to light, but as she backs away, the detective pulls a gun on her.
She tries her best to try and fight Malone, but ultimately recoils in horror, as he steps towards her.
The evil man then tempts Dawn to take her own life by overdosing on heroin.
Dawn is devastated, but before she can do anything, someone comes to her rescue… and Malone’s body is sprawled out on the floor!
Is this really the end of Malone?
What’s more, who is this mystery saviour?
Emmerdale continues Monday August 17 at 7pm on ITV.
