Britain has reported its biggest daily rise of coronavirus cases since June 14 with 1,441 people testing positive.
The Department of Health’s latest update brings the UK’s official number of cases to 316,367.
As of Friday, daily cases have come in at more than 1,000 for five of the last six days, and another 11 people have died bringing the official number of fatalities to 41,358.
Meanwhile, roughly one in ten people in London are now testing positive for Covid-19 antibodies and will likely have some immunity to the virus.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics show people in the city have the highest rates of antibodies, followed by the North West and West Midlands where roughly 7% of people were shown to have antibodies.
