James Rodriguez is available for transfer this summer and Arsenal are showing the most interest of any club in the Real Madrid outcast, according to reports in Spain.
The 29-year-old is surplus to requirements under Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu, having made just 14 appearances in all competitions this season and scoring only once.
Along with Gareth Bale, the Colombian was left out of the squad to take on Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on Friday night, in a clear indication that he is no longer needed by Real.
Super agent Jorge Mendes is trying to engineer a move for the former Porto, Monaco and Bayern Munich man, with Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid possible destinations, but it is Arsenal that has shown the most interest in signing him, according to AS.
Arsenal, and plenty of other clubs, were interested in James last summer but he was less willing to consider a move than he is now, while Real are very keen to get rid of him.
The former World Cup Golden Boot winner is reportedly available for just £22.5m this summer, despite Real spending £63m on him back in 2014.
With his contract expiring in the summer of 2021, the La Liga champions are desperate to cash in on him while they can rather than let him leave on a free next year, especially as he is unlikely to feature much at all over the next campaign.
James has made just five La Liga starts this season with his only goal coming back in October.
