Ainsley Harriott has revealed he will always ‘have feelings’ for his ex-wife after 23 years of marriage as he gave rare insight into his new relationship.

The TV chef was married to Claire Fellows for 23 years and share two children, Jimmy, 30, and Maddie, 27.

The couple were divorced in November 2012.

It was understood that the pair are on good terms, which Ainsley appears to have confirmed in a new interview.

Speaking to The Mirror about his new show Ainsley’s Food We Love, he said: ‘I still have love and feelings for my ex wife, that never stops because she gave me the most important things in my life, and there is a respect there. But everyone moves on, and that’s fine.’

Turning to his new love with a mystery woman, the Strictly Come Dancing star went on: ‘I have a partner now and I’m enjoying having love and getting to share my life with someone, that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?

‘Although she always says to me, “I’d prefer it if you didn’t talk about me, thanks darling”.’

And of course the culinary wizard has passed on his foodie knowledge to his son and daughter.

‘I’m so glad I’ve been able to teach them how to cook and feel comfortable in the kitchen. They are both very able to throw dinner parties and entertain people, I love that,’ Ainsley shared.

The TV star received an MBE earlier this year in the New Year Honours list for services to broadcasting and the culinary arts.
