Colin the Caterpillar, M&S’ iconic chocolate cake – it’s a log with a face, let’s be honest – is expanding, and not because he’s a very hungry caterpillar but because mini chocolate Colin faces have been added to the range.

For some reason, perhaps because they don’t want to make unnecessary shopping trips or pay lots of money, people have been decorating their own versions of Colin.

Some of them could give M&S a run for their money – but some look like they’ve been involved in a savage bird attack.
