A “shark” reported as swimming in the River Thames turned out to be a hoax. There was much excitement as a photo of a mystery fin in the London river went viral, but the Port London Authority later told the Evening Standard a man had called to confess the shark reports were not true. “He phoned us late last night to say it was Photoshop,” said a spokesperson.

Kangaroo found hopping in Florida 

Police in Fort Lauderdale have found a kangaroo hopping around the streets of the Florida city. “At first we didn’t really believe it ’cause there was only one call, so when we got there, there, sure enough, was a kangaroo,” said an officer. The animal is now in the custody of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
