Baboons armed with knives, screwdrivers and a chainsaw have been spotted at Knowsley safari park. Staff at the zoo believe that some visitors are trying to help increase the notorious damage caused to vehicles by the animals by supplying weapons “for a laugh”. The safari park reopened its doors on 15 June.

Organic wine supplier Vintage Roots has announced that it is looking to pay one lucky person £250 to drink and review their vino. To apply, you just need to post a picture of yourself with a glass of wine on social media with relevant tags. More details here

Loose predator turns out to be cuddly toy 

Police investigating reports of a “large apex predator” on the loose in Steyning, West Sussex, discovered that it was in fact just a large stuffed toy. Last year, the RSPCA were called out to a report of a tiger being kept in a cramped cage in Exeter that turned out to be a soft toy.
