The Friends cast are set to follow strict coronavirus guidelines when they finally reunite to film the reunion episode next month.
The hotly-anticipated special, which will see Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry back together, will no longer be shot in front of a live studio audience, according to reports.
And if that wasn’t enough, the stars will have to be tested for Covid-19 and quarantine in isolation after they’ve taken the test.
‘Everyone is really hoping production and filming can resume next month,’ an insider began.
‘It’s full steam ahead right now, but there are going to be very strict guidelines and that includes no live audiences.
‘That’s a big blow because bosses were desperate to create an authentic atmosphere.
The source continued to the Mirror: ‘All of the cast will be tested for Covid-19, and asked to quarantine in isolation after they’ve had the tests.’
The Friends reunion special is set to film in August after being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Last month, Jennifer and Lisa revealed that they’re not completely in the know about what will happen on the show.
‘We don’t know everything about it,’ Lisa stressed.
‘Oh, we don’t know anything about it,’ Jennifer admitted. ‘What we do know, we can’t say,’ Lisa added.
‘I think we’re meant to be surprised by some things.’
‘I know that it’s not scripted,’ Jennifer revealed, before they both explained they won’t be reviving their characters for the one-off.
