Dr Hilary Jones took a swipe at Donald Trump on today’s Good Morning Britain over his comments about wearing a face mask to protect against coronavirus.
The President admitted in a recent interview that he would have no problem being seen with a mask on and that he ‘sort of liked the way I looked’ when he had one on.
Addressing Trump’s comments alongside Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh, Dr Hilary scorned: ‘I’m not sure we should be wearing masks for the look.
‘I don’t think we should be doing it now and again, we should be doing it all the time if we can’t socially distance.
‘There’s been plenty of pics of Trump not wearing a mask where he isn’t socially distancing from his colleagues, and now he’s saying he wouldn’t mind wearing it and the look is not too bad.

‘I don’t think it’s about looks.’
When asked by Ben whether Trump’s comments were a reflection of where the US is in terms of coronavirus, the telly doctor replied: ‘They’ve got real problems there.
‘They haven’t abided by the guidelines… they are heading for real trouble, they haven’t acknowledged how serious this is.’
America has seen a huge spike in coronavirus cases in the last two weeks, with states which rushed to reopen including Texas, Florida and Arizona all experiencing record one-day diagnosis numbers.
The US has seen over 2.6million coronavirus diagnoses, with 130,000 people killed by Covid-19.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
