Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) watched in horror in Coronation Street as Gary Windass (Mikey North) was ran down by car, and tonight she faces quite the dilemma — but ultimately tells a lie.
With her interest having been piqued after Bernie (Jane Hazelgrove) sold her Rick’s watch, Sarah confronted Gary in the latest episode.
Left with no other choice, Gary ultimately came clean — confirming that he’d killed Rick.
However, he told her that he did so in order to protect her and the kids, before revealing that he’s still in love with her.
An emotional Sarah called 999 and hightailed it out of there, but as she stepped out in front of a car, Gary swooped in to save her, and ended up getting hit by the vehicle.
In tonight’s episode, Sarah pleads with Gary to wake up, as Tyrone (Alan Halsall) phones for an ambulance.
Adam (Sam Robertson) and Maria (Samia Longchambon) arrive at the hospital, and Sarah describes how she was on her phone and Gary stepped out in front of her to save her life.
However, Tyrone reveals that he saw Sarah running from Gary, who was chasing her, prior to the accident.
Adam suspects there is more to this story than meets the eye, but will Sarah tell the truth?
What’s more, will Gary live?
