The 2020 World Snooker Championship is finally upon us, getting underway at the Crucible after a long delay and under unusual circumstances.
Moved from it’s traditional dates in April and May due to the coronavirus, the tournament is running from 31 July – 16 August at its usual Sheffield home, although it will look a bit different to normal.
WST have negotiated with Government to allow a crowd into the venue, although it will only be around a third full, with near to 300 people at each session.
Judd Trump arrives as the defending champion, looking to break the Crucible Curse that sees first time winners unable to defend their title on return, and he is favourite with the bookies to do so.
The likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan, Neil Robertson, Mark Selby, John Higgins and Mark Allen will fancy their chances of stopping him, though.
