Royal Mail axes 2,000 jobs to save costs during coronavirus

Royal Mail has announced it is to cut around 2,000 jobs as it is reducing costs during the coronavirus crisis.

The jobs are understood to be in management.

The company said the pandemic has resulted in more parcels and fewer letters being sent.
