Andrew Lloyd Webber says the government has suggested that UK theatres could reopen if performers at musicals were not allowed to sing. The composer, who has spoken to Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden, said of the government: “I would love to say that I think that they understood a little more.” He said ministerial advice included a suggestion “that was a brilliant one for musicals – that you’re not allowed to sing”.
Man to host ‘Covid-19 compatible’ sex party
A millionaire is preparing to host Britain's first socially distanced “alfresco sex party”. Richard Stanley is organising the bash, which he says will be “Covid 19-compatible”. He told the Sunday People: “It will be a voyeurs and monogamists alfresco sex party. I have to follow guidelines to the letter as [my partner] is a practice nurse. If we get the go-ahead it’s going to be an amazing night.”
Trump has heard ‘interesting’ things about Roswell
Donald Trump says he has heard “interesting things” about Roswell, the crash site of an alleged UFO in 1947. When the topic came up during an interview, the US president said: “So many people asked me that, and it sounds like a cute question. I won't talk to you about what I know about it, but it's very interesting.”
