Liverpool have considered offering Sadio Mane to Paris Saint-Germain as part of a deal to sign Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.

Mane has been a key player under Jurgen Klopp since he was signed in a £34 million deal from Southampton in 2016.

Since arriving at Anfield, Mane has scored 77 goals in 161 appearances and helped the club win the Champions League last season.

But according to The Sun, Liverpool are concerned that the 28-year-old could leave the club this summer as he has not signed the new contract which was offered to him nine months ago.

The report claims that Jurgen Klopp is ‘growing anxious’ over Mane’s situation and has asked Liverpool’s hierarchy to tell him whether the Senegal international is willing to sign a new deal.

Mane’s current contract expires in 2023 but has been offered a revised deal worth £220,000 a week.

The report claims that both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Mane.

And Liverpool have already considered offering Mane to PSG as part of an exchange deal which would see Mbappe move to Anfield.

However, the report claims that Klopp’s first-choice preference is for Mane to sign a new contract and to keep the winger at Liverpool.
