I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will be making the jungle a little lonelier this year, as the families of stars competing in the show apparently won’t be flown out to Australia.
It’s an annual tradition for those taking part in the competition to be met on the outside by their loved ones after they are evicted from camp, and its always a highlight emotional moment.
But according to The Sun, bosses are cutting this cost due to the wide-reaching impacts of coronavirus on production.
A source told the publication: ‘Having no friends or family flown out will be a big blow to celebrities.
‘Producers have even involved them in recent years by taking them into the jungle in the final days to create heartfelt scenes.
‘There are early plans to film video calls to capture celebs having their first chats with loved ones.’
Families and the stars usually stay in the ultra-luxe Palazzo Versace in Surfers Paradise, close to where filming is held in the jungle.
However, due to the currently ongoing global pandemic, ITV admitted that it is ‘too early to discuss’ any concrete plans for I’m A Celeb.
One rumour that has made big waves however is that Tiger King star Carole Baskin has been offered a ‘big money deal’ to enter the jungle.
‘Jungle producers have made a formal approach and hope she will do it,’ a source reportedly told the Sun.
While ITV told the publication: ’All names at this stage are speculation.’

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! comes to ITV later this year.
