Edward Hutchinson (Joe McGann) secretly started drugging son Tony (Nick Pickard) with testosterone in Hollyoaks, and it appears as if said drug begins to take its toll on the young man, as he begins to have severe mood swings.
Tony was left devastated earlier this year when evil Edward convinced him that he had a brain tumour and needed emergency surgery — carried out by himself of course.
The surgery never went ahead given that the brain tumour was a work of fiction concocted by Edward in an effort to make himself appear like some sort of saviour, and he’s used Tony’s newfound reliance on him to his advantage ever since.
Following the fake procedure, the surgeon began drugging his son with testosterone — seemingly in an effort to make him become aggressive.
In the coming episodes, Tony’s certain that his test results are going to be great, but will this prove to be the case?
Later, his mood swings get much worse, and he’s excited one minute, and then furious the next.
However, things soon escalate, as Tony catches Edward in The Hutch kitchen and becomes furious — something which leaves Diane in complete and utter shock.
What’s more, he also rages at James (Gregory Finnegan), after the solicitor criticises his bruschetta.
Will Tony come to realise what’s going on?
Or will Edward use his son’s mood swings to convince Diane that Tony is out of control?
