The In My Feelings rapper woke on Sunday morning (21 June) to surprised young Adonis with a present and the toddler’s reaction was heartwarming.
As he ripped off the wrapping paper, an excited Adonis is heard saying: ‘Open the box!’
Drake then explained: ‘We bought that for you, it’s outdoor basketball.’
The penny drops and Adonis realises: ‘It’s a new toy,’ as Drake told Sophie it was a blow-up basketball court.
Drake was also opening a present himself which appeared to be painting’s from Adonis, whose mum Sophie is also an artist.
Hours before, the Canadian rapper had shared a new photo of Adonis sitting up in bed and watching TV in his pyjamas.
‘Happy Fathers Day to all the real g’z handling business,’ Drake wrote in the caption.
The God’s Plan hitmaker only shared the first photo of Adonis in March after more than two years of keeping the little one’s identity private.
Opening up about the big reveal, Drizzy recently told Lil Wayne on Apple Music’s Young Money Radio: ‘It was great for me. It was great to just share that with the world and I just felt like… it wasn’t even anything I talked to anybody about or anything I planned.
‘I just woke up one morning and I was like, you know what? This is just something that I want to do.’
He continued: ‘I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son. I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a ‘celebrity’ that I got to make everybody live under this blanket. So, I just wanted to free myself of that.’
Drake and Sophie had a brief relationship and while they’re no longer together – and separated by distance – they appear to have nailed co-parenting amicably.
