Dr Alex George has been giving fans an insight into life on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic for months and has now shared his tips on how to take a coronavirus test at home.
The former Love Island star used his latest YouTube video to inform viewers how to take a home test for coronavirus correctly.
He told his followers: ‘Turns out my gag reflex is pretty strong. I have put together a step by step video of how to use a covid-19 home testing kit, showing you the correct technique so that you can get an accurate result.
‘There are so many test kits online, many of which are not validated, I have included some advice and guidance around this too.’
Alex, who works as an A&E doctor, has been helping people who have been infected with the virus since the start of the pandemic.

He confirmed that he wasn’t taking the test because he had symptoms or thought he might have Covid-19, but as a demonstration to help his fans take the test correctly.
He also advised them to get the test through the official government channels as there were many people selling unreliable kits online.
Alex revealed that people need to arrange the free courier to collect their test as soon as possible, as if the sample is over 72 hours old, it will invalidate the results, and should be taking the test either the night before or on the morning of the day the courier is due to collect.
He revealed that people will need to blow their nose and cough to clear their airways before taking the test, which involves swabbing the tonsils and inside both nostrils.
Alex then showed how he swabbed his own tonsils, making sure not to contaminate the swab with his hands as he then swabbed both of his nostrils with the same wand.
Anyone with symptoms of coronavirus has been advised to self-isolate for two weeks and can register for a home testing kit online.
