Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) prepared to enter her plea in Coronation Street in a courtroom full of people during the latest episode, but viewers were left wondering which of the two options she was going to choose: guilty or not guilty?
The latest episode was an emotional one for both Yasmeen and Alya (Sair Khan) — the latter of who learned a lot about the abuse her gran suffered at the hands of evil Geoff (Ian Bartholomew).
Yasmeen went into detail about how Geoff tested her with the red crosses around the house, the excessive cleaning tasks, and the punishments he bestowed upon her if she failed said tests.
Alya then enquired if Yasmeen would deem such behaviour normal if Geoff had done all of the aforementioned things on a young Tim — and Yasmeen was unable to answer.
As the plea hearing arrived, Yasmeen took the stand, and reminisced about all of the hurtful things Geoff had said to her previously.
As the judge asked her how she pleaded, viewers were left wondering how she would answer that very question.
The answer is revealed during tonight’s episode, and Yasmeen decides to plead not guilty — much to Alya’s delight.
The question is: how will Geoff react when he finds out that she intends to fight?
Coronation Street continues Wednesday 10 June at 7:30pm on ITV.
