Ron Jeremy has pleaded not guilty to rape and sexual assault.

The adult film star was last week charged with three counts of rape and one of sexual assault, in relation to four alleged incidents between 2014 and 2019.

On Friday, the 67-year-old entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment to three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery.

Jeremy, real name Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, was pictured wearing an orange jumpsuit at the arraignment, as well as a black and orange face mask issued by the county jail.

He sat inside a glass enclosure for in custody defendants as he entered his plea.

A judge denied Jeremy’s team’s request to have his bail reduced from $6.6 million (£5.2m).

Jeremy will appear in court for another hearing on 31 August.

Following the charges being brought against him, the porn star denied the allegations via a tweet reading: ‘I am innocent of all charges. I can’t wait to prove my innocence in court! Thank you to everyone for all the support.’

He had previously denied allegations in a statement to Rolling Stone back in November 2017, which read: ‘These allegations are pure lies or buyers remorse.

‘I have never and would never rape anyone. All serious allegations have been investigated by police and dismissed by judges, as have most of the accusations of “groping”.

‘I have never been charged nor spent one day in court for any of this.’

Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey said Ron is accused of forcibly raping a 25-year-old woman at a home in West Hollywood in May 2014.

He is then alleged to have sexually assaulted two more women, aged 33 and 46, on separate occasions at a bar in West Hollywood in 2017 as well as forcibly raping a 30-year-old woman at the same bar in July 2019.

The District Attorney’s Office said it declined a case against Jeremy ‘due to insufficient evidence stemming from an incident in 2016’.

If convicted, he could face a possible maximum sentence of 90 years to life in prison.

Deputy District Attorney Paul Thompson of the Sex Crimes division is prosecuting the case as well as the case against Harvey Weinstein.

Nicknamed The Hedgehog, Jeremy is considered the most prolific male porn star in the industry, having starred in over 2,000 pornographic films.
